ADI Check Test Training, All driving instructors are required to periodically be assessed, to ensure that there standards meet the required standards. This assessment used to commonly be called a Check Test, the assessment was updated in April 2014, and since then it has been known as a Standards Check. The old name as is often the case still lingers on however. Whatever you call the assessment Driving Instructor Trainers can help you to understand the requirements, and develop or update any skills to achieve success.

How To Qualify As A Driving Instructor

Legal Requirements

The initial legal requirements to become a driving instructor are that you have held your driving licence for 4 years, it preferably has no points on it, and you have not been banned from driving.

If you have held your driving licence for over 3 years you could start the qualification process, with the aim of being qualified as soon as you do fulfil the 4 year requirement.

If your driving licence has points on it or you have been banned please contact us for further advice, you may still be eligible to become a Driving Instructor.

Legally the only people that can be paid for giving driving tuition are:

Driving Instructor Qualification Process

There are 3 examinations to pass to become a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor.

Training to become a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor

Driving Instructor Trainers can provide training for all 3 parts of the driving instructor qualifying exams.

Driving Instructors that we train, have the option of working as a Driving Instructor with Birmingham Ladies Driving School, or one of our many other driving schools in the West Midlands area when you qualify.

Birmingham Ladies Driving School together with it's sister driving schools has a network of Driving Instructors offering Driving Lessons, Semi Intensive Driving Courses, and Intensive Driving Courses across all of the West Midlands, including; Birmingham, The Black Country, Bromsgrove, Cannock, Coventry, Dudley, Kenilworth, Kidderminster, Leamington Spa, Lichfield, Nuneaton, Redditch, Rugby, Sandwell, Solihull, Stourbridge, Stratford upon Avon, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Walsall, Warwick, Wolverhampton, Worcester and surrounding areas.

Driving Instructor Trainers can also offer training for existing Driving Instructors who wish to prepare for a Standards Check (formerly called a check test), or are just looking to develop and further improve their skills.
